Pennsylvania Sunset - Gifford Pinchot Lake

Since I live in the suburbs, I don't see many sunsets. Even worse, I hardly ever see the sun setting over a beautiful body of water. When Dave and I camped in Pennsylvania last week I took advantage of some of the sunset opportunities that were at hand. I took these two photos on the first evening.

These boaters had a unique perspective on what
turned out to be a spectacular sunset.

This is the sunset I saw that evening.

Mother Nature was doubly generous that night. In addition to providing a colorful show in the sky, she gave me a nice dose of poison ivy in the woods!

Wow, Pinchot Lake! I remember going there with Grandma and Grandpa, mom and dad as a little one. One time, Grandma packed me my dad's underwear to change into instead of my own! Being about 4 you can imagine how big they were on me! LOL

Somewhere in that lake is my mother's engagement ring. Although I was only 4 or 5 at the time, I remember that day all too well!

I love sunsets. I also love sunrises. They make for a great painting, too!
