CASINO ROYALE REMIX

The newest incarnation of James Bond, a remake of an oldie, premieres tonight. This should get all Bond fans in the right frame of mind before heading to the theatre.

I am a big Bond fan. I have heard good things about Casino Royale. I will say that my absolute favorite Bond film is 1977's The Spy Who Loved Me. I like the submarine motif, the east/west working together, and the Lotus that turned into a submarine!

I thought Pierce Brosnan was good as Bond and I really enjoyed 3 of the 4 movies he was in.

Pierce Brosnan was my favorite Bond. I doubt that the fact that he was the best-looking one has anything to do with that! Unforunately, his age was definitely showing in his last Bond movie. He looked like a pretty old guy trying to play a young guy's role. Even I had to concede it was time for a younger Bond.

Chris: You said you enjoyed 3 of Brosnan's 4 Bond movies. Which one didn't you like and why do you feel that way?

I liked them in this order...

1)The World is not Enough
2)Goldeneye
3)Die Another Day
4)Whatever the name was it didn't leave a huge impression on me.

The World is not enough is one of my favorite Bond movies. Sophie Marcau (sp) is absolutely delicious as the Bond girl/villian. I thought the plot and the locales were great in this movie.

Goldeneye was awesome! I thought that the premise of an EMP weapon from the cold war finding its way into the wrong hands was a neat plot device. Isabella Scorpio agains (sp) was great as was my favorite fem fatale, Famke Jannsen as Xenia Onotopp.

Die Another Day shed light onto the N. Korean issue and opened our eyes a bit to the junk that goes on there. Madonna had a cameo, and Halle Berry was great as Jinx. The ice scenes at the end and hovercraft scenes in the beginning over the mine fields were great!

I rambled on a bit, but just wanted to add my 5 cents!

The one you can't remember is Tomorrow Never Dies - and it's not a memorable film. It was one of the worst Bond films in a long time. The plot was way out there in unbelievability.
