You Know You're Living in 2007 When. . .

A friend at work just handed this to me. I had to laugh because I saw myself in too many of these.

You know you're living in 2007 when:

1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave
2. You haven't played Solitaire with real cards in years.
3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of 3.
4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.
5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don't have e-mail addresses.
6. You pull up in your driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home to help you carry in the groceries.
7. Every TV commercial has a web site at the bottom of the screen.
8. Leaving the house without your cell phone (which you didn't have for the first 20, 30 or 60 years of your life) sends you into a panic, so you turn around to go get it.
10. You get up in the morning and go online before getting your coffee.
11. You start tilting your head sideways to smile. :)
12. You're reading this and nodding and laughing.
13. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this list.
14. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list.
15. You actually scrolled back to check that there wasn't a #9 on this list.

And now UR LOL at yourself.

That was great! I must confess to being guilty of a few of those items!

At our school, we outsourced education to Internet and Intranet. Since we "are able" to communicate with far more students than we were before the pc- and mobilephone age, we need to have pictures of students to recognise them. When students are asking questions, we refer to the "FAQ's" at Intranet, because we have plenty other things to do, mainly processing dozens of e-mails each day and grading assignments e-mailed to us. Sounds a bit overdone, but there is a great deal of truth in it. O tempora, o mores!

well, a lot of these I don't do, but I must confess to phoning from the driveway and telling the boys to come out and help with the groceries. How lazy is that??
