Obama-Mania

Over the past year, a phenomenon known as "Obama-mania" has swept across the USA. Barack Obama is a young, intelligent, articulate politician who has a very good chance of becoming the American President within a year. If you want to have some fun, click on this link to find out what Barack has done for you lately. These are three things he did for me (he really made my day, too!):

Jenn - maybe he buried his comment in a really old post to make it like a treasure hunt.

The board president of our school was in the US recently on invitation by Mr. Covey the well-known management-guru. It was in a city I forgot its name, but it was a coincidence that also Obama (whose name has a striking resemblance with the name of a person not very loved by well-thinking people) was in town, and he was introduced to Mr. Obama by Mr. Covey. Mr. Obama shaked hands with him, and Covey told him that he was a board president of an undergraduate school in the Netherlands. The record didn't report if Mr. Obama could localize this little spot on the globe, but he said to our board president the very remarkable and wise words that illustrated his change plans: "unleash their potentials!" (With "their" he meant the students). The photograph on which you can see our president's shaking hands with Obama you can see on www.chn.nl, look for the page "Robert Feenstra's blog" and click on it.

I am beginning to wonder how much substance this man really has. Following the democratic primaries has certainly been entertaining to say the least. But it has also allowed one to begin to see what the person is made out of. Obama, leaves me wondering. He sounds good, he's inspirational - but are the underpinnings of it all?
