I've been told that the following story is an urban legend, but it's still funny, and it makes a good point: if you do something stupid, you can expect to get unwelcome results:
It's funny how stories like this keep making their rounds. True story though ... several years ago my brother had taken his motorcyle down into his basement to work on it. While working on it he had a gas leak. The water heater pilot ignited the gas and the house went up in flames. They ended up losing half their house ... right before Christmas.
